So, how did we get here?
Over the past 18 months we have collected data from hundreds of PTs across the UK, all who have kindly shared the challenges that they felt most impacted their businesses. We’ve also interviewed hundreds of PT clients too, all who faced challenges when working with their trainers. The PT client feedback revealed that most customers felt that their PTs lacked any kind of organised business system. Feedback also suggested that such a system would have promoted more confidence in the trainer and demonstrated better professionalism when the customer first signed up.
A constant frustration was the amount of time it would take to book in a session, which would involve multiple text messages back and forth to agree on a time. Another issue was not knowing the number of remaining sessions. Often there was a discrepancy in what the client and PT had recorded which, in some cases, lead to negative feelings. Alarmingly, many clients had never been issued with a receipt after making payment for services or been asked to sign any Terms & Conditions when entering into what was perceived as a business arrangement.
So, armed with all this insightful feedback from both Personal Trainers and their customers, we set about building a PT and client friendly product: Hapori PT.
